If you are a fan of horror, you probably heard about the passing of the great Angus Scrimm. Born Lawrence Rory Guy, August 19, 1926 in Kansas City, Kansas. He was 89 years old. He was best know for his role as most famous as "The Tall Man" in Don Coscarelli's Phantasm (1979). Angus had many talents. He also was a journalist. He has written for "Cinema Magazine", "TV Guide", "Cinema Magazine" and other publications. I discovered he has also written liner notes for thousands of LPs and CDs, for just about every genre from classical music to jazz, from Frank Sinatra and The Beatles to Artur Rubinstein and Itzhak Perlman. Did you know he won a Grammy award for best album liner notes? What a special man! Rest in peace Angus, thank you for sharing your talents and life with us.
